Medica Gala 2012

Medica Gala organized by the College of Physicians of Romania, reached this year the fourth edition. Due to the large number of projects and quality articles entered in the competition, the jury decided to nominate more participants than usual for some categories, in line with the purpose of this event: promoting quality people and projects. The Gala categories were: Best communicator doctor; Involved Doctor; Health Care Journalism (print, audio-video, online); The Project of a Patient Association with the greatest reach; Most active student association in the Medical Universities; The best product and the best banking initiative for physicians; The award for medical innovation; Medical Internet (the most active website for doctors in 2011, the blog of the year - doctors) and the Audience Award.
Therefore on June 11, 2012 the winners were announced at an event that was attended by the Minister of Health, Dr. Vasile Cepoi, and the Minister of Education, Liviu Pop.
Prader Willi Association of Romania represented by Dorica Dan was awarded in the category The Project of a Patient Association with the greatest reach for Norwegian-Romanian Partnership Project (NoRo) for Progress in Rare Diseases.
